For over a quarter of a century, the CCC has been an increasingly active and visible social service organization of women in the greater Concord community. The club’s underlying purpose has been to bring together women of all ages in the community and to use their interests, talents and creativity to enrich not only themselves but their community in civic, cultural, educational and social welfare. Through service projects and charitable work, members aid those less fortunate or in special need while enjoying the fellowship of other caring, active and enthusiastic volunteers.
Some of the more significant projects the club has sponsored are: the Mr. Concord pageant, Octoberfest Arts & Crafts Fair, the Janet Lillios Memorial scholarship, Red Cross blood drawing canteens, CLEW and HOBY leadership programs, Child & Family Services Group Home for teens, providing birthday gifts for Pinehaven Boys’ Home residents, Hospice House & food pantry donations, donations to the Crisis Center of Central NH and the NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
