Hello and thank you very much for visiting my website!
I am a sixth-year PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Liverpool. I am an Accredited Researcher at the ONS and an Associate Fellow at Advance Higher Education Academy.
For the full year 2023-2024 I was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As part of my PhD, I held a multi-year visiting researcher role at the Bank of England.
My research interests are in macroeconomics, labour markets, economic growth, monetary, public economics.
My research examines two main themes. My work on heterogeneous banks tries to advance the theory on how banks’ heterogeneity and regulations impact the market structure, banks' incentives and the distribution of banks, as well as how better banks' regulations can reduce inequality and mitigate financial crises by enhancing the allocation and redistribution of resources between and within banks. My work on the labour market studies how worker heterogeneity and productivity differentials across workers impact unemployment, economic growth and wage inequality, and how policies can reduce poverty of low-income workers and improve aggregate economic outcomes. My technical specialism includes theoretical, numerical and computational methods; and I enjoy employing a wide range of advanced quantitative methods from different disciplines.
I graduated for my MRes in Economics at Queen Mary University of London in 2020 and for my MPhil in Economic Research at the University of Cambridge in 2019.
Prior to starting my studies at the University of Cambridge, I completed my MRes in Economics at the University of Exeter in 2018 and my MSc in Economics at the University of York in 2017. I received my MA in Political Economy in 2016 and my BSc in Economics in 2014 both from the University of Rome La Sapienza.
