Concept 2 Rower

This site is about my experiences with the Concept 2 Rowing Machine, as of right now I don't own the piece of exercise equipment mentioned, not yet, hopefully very soon, I'm hoping to order one in the next couple of weeks, if stock is available of course. I will be buying the Model D with the PM5 (Performance Monitor 5). There are a few things I have worked out about these rowers that is absolutely factual

  • They are the best Indoor Rowers you can buy, Gyms use them so they need to be robust.
  • Second hand units are bought nearly as quickly as they're advertised and they hold their value very well indeed.
  • You can actually buy Parts for them which really is great as I am a Mechanic by trade, so my maintenance costs for Labour will be zero, except for a bit of sweat.

Now as I don't currently drive a vehicle, it's very important to me to be able to order online and be able to buy any consumables like parts online, hopefully I won't need to be buying parts online often of course, but being able to repair "things" is really irrelevant if you can't buy the new parts you need. I'm creating this site to be able to put all the information I need in one place for my own benefit, if it helps someone else to make life a little easier then great, if not, I know I still have a great resource to refer back to!

This purchase is going to be a big one for me, I'm by no means wealthy, I'm on a disability pension, but, I appreciate our Australian society and sometimes even the Government of Australia for this privilege, I have Multiple Sclerosis, I take the Medications my Neurologist prescribes and I follow the Paleo Diet, so these things should always be taken into account when considering my overall health improvements or otherwise, my improvements will not come from anyone of these factors, it will come from all of them in unison. I'm lucky I live in Australia and I feel I need to do my bit, not from a nationalistic or patriotic duty, I just don't want to add to the health care costs I'm already blessed with by being even more of a burden than I need to be.

Here's a video of unboxing the Concept 2 Model D with the PM5 monitor.
