1. PROJETO 1: Restinga do Sul da Bahia: Biodiversidade, Ecologia e Sustentabilidade (‘Restinga’ from the south of Bahia: Biodiversity, Ecology, and Sustainability)
Objetivo geral: Entender a estrutura, a dinâmica, a diversidade, a ecologia, a biogeografia e a resiliência da Restinga do Sul da Bahia a fim de gerar subsídios ao desenvolvimento sustentável a partir do patrimônio biológico desse ecossistema.
General objective: To understand the structure, dynamics, diversity, ecology, biogeography and resilience of ‘Restinga’ from the south of Bahia in order to generate subsidies for sustainable development based on the biological heritage of this ecosystem.
2. PROJETO 2: Remanescentes de vegetação do Extremo Sul da Bahia: Biodiversidade, Serviços Ambientais e Bioeconomia no Corredor Central da Mata Atlântica (Vegetation remnants of the Extreme South of Bahia: Biodiversity, Environmental Services and Bioeconomy in the Central Corridor of the Atlantic Forest)
Objetivo geral: Estudar a biodiversidade vegetal e o funcionamento dos remanescentes de vegetação da região econômica do Extremo Sul da Bahia com a finalidade de propor formas de mitigar os impactos para de obter um desenvolvimento sustentável
General objective: Study the plant biodiversity and the functioning of the remnants of vegetation in the economic region of the Extreme South of Bahia in order to propose ways to mitigate impacts in order to achieve sustainable development
3. PROJETO 3: Polinização como um serviço ambiental: caracterização da biologia reprodutiva de espécies vegetais em fragmentos de Mata Atlântica (Pollination as an environmental service: characterization of the reproductive biology of plant species in Atlantic Forest fragments)
Objetivo geral: Reconhecer os sistemas de polinização de espécies vegetais e seu impacto na manutenção da biodiversidade na Mata Atlântica
General objective: Recognize plant species pollination systems and their impact on maintaining biodiversity in the Atlantic Forest.
4. PROJETO 4: Conservação ex situ e (re)introdução de espécies vegetais na natureza ou áreas verdes urbanas (Ex situ conservation and (re)introduction of plant species in nature or green urban areas)
Objetivo geral: Realizar análises com espécies vegetais visando a conservação ex situ e o desenvolvimento de tecnologias de reintrodução na natureza ou em áreas verdes urbanas
General objective: Carry out analyzes with plant species aiming at ex situ conservation and the development of technologies for reintroduction in nature or in urban green areas
5. PROJETO 5: Jardim Botânico FLORAS (Floresta Atlântica Sul baiana): estratégias de conservação da biodiversidade vegetal (FLORAS Botanical Garden -Southern Bahian Atlantic Forest: plant biodiversity conservation strategies)
Objetivo geral: Realizar pesquisas e ações que contribuam para o conhecimento e a manutenção das coleções de plantas vivas do JBFLORAS, visando a conservação ex situ e in situ
General objective: Carry out research and actions that contribute to the knowledge and maintenance of JBFLORAS' living plant collections, aiming at ex situ and in situ conservation
6. PROJETO 6: Sistemática e Biogeografia de Detarioideae (Leguminosae) Neotropical: a evolução, genética e ecologia das copaíbas, jatobás e afins (Systematics and Biogeography of Detarioideae - Leguminosae - Neotropical: the evolution, genetics and ecology of the copaíbas, jatobás and the allies)
Objetivo geral: Estudar as Detarioideae Neotropicais sob diferentes aspectos e abordagens da Taxonomia, Filogenia, Sistemática Integrativa/Biossistemárica, Biologia reprodutiva e Biogeografia, com ênfase nos táxons de ocorrência do Brasil
General objective: Study the Neotropical Detarioideae under different aspects and approaches of Taxonomy, Phylogeny, Integrative/Biosystematic Systematics, Reproductive Biology and Biogeography, with emphasis on the taxa of occurrence in Brazil
7. PROJETO 7: Leguminosae do sul da Bahia: o quê a família do feijão, pau-brasil e amendoim tem para nos contar? (Leguminosae from southern Bahia: what does the bean, brazilwood and peanut family have to tell us?)
Objetivo geral: Conhecer e analisar as leguminosas do Sul da Bahia sob diferentes aspectos e abordagens da Taxonomia, Sistemática Integrativa/Biossistemárica, Biologia reprodutiva e Biogeografia
General objective: Knowing and analyzing legumes from the south of Bahia under different aspects and approaches of Taxonomy, Phylogeny, Integrative/Biosystematic Systematics, Reproductive Biology and Biogeography
8. PROJETO 8: O Herbário Prof. Geraldo Carlos Pereira Pinto e o estudo da flora do sul da Bahia (The Herbarium Prof. Geraldo Carlos Pereira Pinto and the study of the flora of southern Bahia)
Objetivo geral: Manter os acervos das coleções científicas e didáticas de espécies representantes da flora regional e realizar estudos em taxonomia, fitogeografia, biologia e ecologia das plantas da Mata Atlântica
General objective: Maintain the collections of scientific and educational collections of species representing the regional flora and carry out studies in taxonomy, phytogeography, biology and ecology of plants from the Atlantic Forest
9. PROJETO 9: A relação pessoas-plantas na região econômica do Extremo Sul da Bahia (The people-plant relationship in the economic region of the Extreme South of Bahia)
Objetivo geral: Realizar estudos etnobotânicos para se conhecer a relação pessoas-plantas na região econômica do Extremo Sul da Bahia, visando a elaboração de propostas para a geração de renda com espécies vegetais nativas de forma sustentável
General objective: Carry out ethnobotanical studies to learn about the people-plant relationship in the economic region of the Extreme South of Bahia, aiming at the elaboration of proposals for the generation of income with native plant species in a sustainable way
10. PROJETO 10: Sistemática e Biogeografia de Humiriaceae Neotropical: a evolução, genética e ecologia dos umiris, uxis e afins (Systematics and Biogeography of Humiriaceae Neotropical: the evolution, genetics and ecology of the umiris, uxis and the allies)
Objetivo geral: Estudar as Humiriaceae Neotropicais sob diferentes aspectos e abordagens da Taxonomia, Filogenia, Sistemática Integrativa/Biossistemárica, Biologia reprodutiva e Biogeografia, com ênfase nos táxons de ocorrência do Brasil
General objective: Study the Neotropical Humiriaceae under different aspects and approaches of Taxonomy, Phylogeny, Integrative/Biosystematic Systematics, Reproductive Biology and Biogeography, with emphasis on the taxa of occurrence in Brazil
11. PROJETO 11: Biossistemática de complexos de espécies vegetais analisadas com base em ferramentas da morfometria, genética de populações, sistema reprodutivo, ecologia e biogeografia (Biosystematics of plant species complexes analyzed based on tools of morphometry, population genetics, reproductive system, ecology and biogeography)
Objetivo geral: Estudar as espécies vegetais em zonas híbridas ou cujos caracteres se sobrepõem a outras espécies gerando dificuldades no reconhecimento de linhagens que possam ser denominadas, formando complexos de espécies sem definição pela filogenia molecular ou morfológica
General objective: To study plant species in hybrid zones or whose characters overlap with other species, generating difficulties in the recognition of lineages that can be named, forming complexes of species without definition by molecular or morphological phylogeny
