COMSOTEC Workshop Tarragona 2022

Welcome to the 7th Annual Workshop on Complex Sociotechnical Systems! The workshop is intended to be a meeting point for the research community working on economics, social sciences, complexity science, and information and communication technologies. We wish you a stimulating and interesting opportunity to meet the community and present/discuss your work, either it is published or ongoing.

Call For Participation

Abstracts (length limited to 500 words) are to be sent electronically to comsotec.tgn22@gmail.com and can belong to any of the following tracks (please indicate in the submission):

Track A. Research: Share and present your most recent contribution to this field.

Track B. Projects Slam: Let us know about your ongoing projects in an attractive way.

Track C. Brainstorming: Share your ideas in a compelling manner to find partners for your newborn projects.

Lodging

There are many options for staying in Tarragona during the Conference. There is no official conference hotel, but we can recommend the following hotels:

Hotel SB Ciutat de Tarragona (****)

Located in the neuralgic center of Tarragona, the Plaça Imperial Tarraco. Right next to the Bus Station. Less than 10 minutes walking distance from the Conference Venue. Prices of a double room are around 82€ with breakfast buffet and tax included.

H10 Imperial Tarraco (****)

New hotel located in the historic centre of Tarragona, right in front of the Roman amphitheater, the H10 Imperial Tarraco is an iconic hotel that has a privileged location offering stunning sea views. Prices of a double room are around 100€ with breakfast buffet.

Hotel Urbis Centre (***)

Located in the newly renovated Plaça del Mercat (the market square), the new trendy area. This hotel is very centric, the area is full of local shops and bars, and of course, the Market! It also has a restaurant with a nice daily menu. Less than 15 minutes walking distance from the Conference Venue. The prices are around 52€ for a double one, breakfast included.

Hotel Lauria Tarragona (***)

Located in the most classic part of Tarragona, La Rambla Nova. This historic hotel is 15 minutes away from the venue and only 1 minute away from a breathtaking sea view, the Balcó del Mediterrani. A double room with single occupancy costs around 60€ and a double room is around 70€ with breakfast.

AirBnB apartments

Given that Tarragona is a tourist destination, there are many AirBnB apartments available. The bonus is that most of them are located in the old part of the town, very close to the venue location.
