Emma Wai is a student attending Marc Garneau C.I. in Toronto, Ontario. While she is a writer for the school newspaper, she's not sure how to write paragraphs that flow well, so instead she'll give you a collection of facts in sentence form: Emma enjoys trampolining. She appreciates frozen yogurt and sushi, and has a tendency to read through books she has already read. Though she enjoys sleep very much, she tends to deprive herself of it due to her unfortunate habit of procrastinating. You can find her hanging out with friends at bubble tea shops, passed out on the TTC, getting obsessed with phone games for short periods of time, and more often than not falling victim to comma splicing and run-on sentences.
Madelaine Jones is from Vancouver Island, and is starting university next year as well as finishing high school. She is captain of her local rugby team but also spends a lot of time cooking and baking things she never personally eats. Beyond this, she can be found hating on tomatoes, salt, sugar, and enjoying too many cups of coffee. Maddy hopes to major in computing science and whilst doing that, figure out what she'll do with her life beyond school.
Sarah Li is a student going into grade 12 from Burnaby Mountain Secondary. She enjoys leading her humanitarian club at school that aims improve to the lives of marginalized youth in the Lower Mainland by providing snacks. Outside of her time at school, her hobbies include swimming, playing on her ukulele, kickboxing and reading books. In the future, she hopes to expand her knowledge of AI and apply it to enriching the lives of others.
Adele Lu is a student going into grade 12 at Lord Byng Secondary. With the belief that facing new challenges is the best way to learn, she enjoys having different experiences while maintaining her hobbies of painting, reading and crafting. She hopes to persist in the field of computer science where she can discover more about the brand new world of computes that will enhance people’s life in the future.
Melody Thomson is a student going into grade 12 at Walnut Grove Secondary. She enjoys practicing martial arts, and really anything to with computer science. She drinks too much coffee and never sleeps enough, but she loves music, hiking, and binging Netflix. After university she hopes to continue in the field of computer science and develop software to help others.
Grace Chen is a student at Lord Byng Secondary School. Grace believes that excitement in life lies in the endless discovery and innovation. As a student going into grade 12, she hopes to pursue studying computer science in University. Her experience with AI and computer programming has helped her maintain a growth mindset that embraces changes, challenges, and possibilities. Besides her passion for computers, she also enjoys reading, writing, and playing golf.
