Computers West

Linux Group

The Computers West Linux Group meets every Friday, year round, from 08:00 am to 12:00 noon in Meeting Room B

WHAT IS LINUX???

Linux is an operating system just as Windows is an operating system. Similar but slightly different from Windows. Apple also has its own operating system but both Apple and Windows cost dollars. Linux is FREE!! Additional software from Windows comes at a price but Linux software is FREE. Linux has no record of virus infection and you do not have to buy a virus protection program. The Linux distribution that we teach (Linux Mint) is simple and easy to learn. Come to a Friday meeting to see what it is all about..

If you have any questions about how to get started with Linux or are running Linux and have a question you can come to the Club on a Friday and ask for One-on-One help.
