You can open it from your desktop shortcut, the Start menu, or the list of installed applications.
Make sure you have installed the real Webroot application and that your subscription is active if your product requires it.
Step 2: Check Your Protection Status
After opening the application, check the main dashboard.
Look for your current protection status and see if there are any security alerts or suggested actions shown.
If Webroot asks you to update, restart, or take another action before scanning, follow the instructions that appear in the application.
Step 3: Find the Scan Option
Look for the scan controls in the main interface.
Depending on your Webroot version, you may see an option to start a scan or access scanning settings.
Choose the scan option available in your installed version.
The labels and types of scan can vary depending on the product and software version.

Select the option to begin the scan.
Let Webroot examine your device for potential threats.
During the scan, avoid closing the application if it is still working on files.
You can continue using your computer if the application allows it, although performance may vary based on your device’s capabilities.
Step 5: Review the Scan Results
Once the scan is complete, look at any results, alerts, or suggested actions that Webroot shows.
If the software finds something that might be a threat, follow its instructions to isolate, remove, or handle the item.
Do not delete unfamiliar system files manually without making sure it is safe to do so.
