Trained in polymer science and engineering, Dr. Qiao is a computational soft matter scientist. The research interests focus on polymer-based nanomaterials, protein-based biophysics and biomaterials, and heavy metal ions and separation.
We are specifically interested in basic science-driven applications: how the fundamental understanding of molecular interactions benefits the design of functional materials, as well as energy applications.
