Dr. Hong's Computational Thermodynamics and Materials Science Lab is dedicated to designing high-performance advanced engineering materials. To achieve this, our group focuses on discovering novel materials through scientific computing, virtual reality, and AI/ML technologies. Our research, which leverages computational design and manufacturing skills, addresses the needs of various high-demand engineering sectors. This approach uniquely prepares students to enter the STEM workforce and be competitive for long-term employment at local engineering companies and government agencies.
