If you want a secure, fatigue-free fit for Apple AirPods 1st and 2nd Gen that stays put during workouts without the compression hassle of memory foam, choose COMPLY SoftCONNECT; if you need maximum noise isolation and variety in size options specifically for Soundcore Sleep A20 or A30 earbuds, choose Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips.
• COMPLY SoftCONNECT: Its biggest strength is the unique non-memory foam design that offers immediate comfort and a reliable grip without needing to be squeezed before insertion; its trade-off is that it is strictly limited to Apple's older generation AirPods and generic equivalents, making it useless for modern Pro models or other brands. This pick is for the daily commuter or gym-goer with standard AirPods who hates ear fatigue.
• Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips: The standout feature here is the inclusion of six pairs across three sizes (S/M/L) made from soft silicone that provides effective noise blocking for sleep-focused listening; the trade-off is that it is entirely incompatible with any device other than the Soundcore Sleep series. This pick is for the dedicated listener using Soundcore Sleep A20/A30 who prioritizes a seal over all-day wearability on different hardware.
The COMPLY SoftCONNECT line solves a very specific problem that many users of first and second-generation Apple AirPods face: the lack of a true seal and the tendency for the buds to slip out during movement. Unlike traditional memory foam tips that require you to roll them into a thin cylinder before pushing them into your ear canal, these are crafted from a proprietary non-memory foam material. This means you can simply slide them onto the stem of your AirPod, and they expand instantly to fill your ear canal. There is no waiting for the foam to rebound, which makes them incredibly fast to use when you are rushing out the door or need to swap tracks quickly between sets at the gym.
Engineers designed this product specifically to eliminate the "ear fatigue" that often comes with hard plastic stems pressing against the cartilage. By using a softer, more pliable material that maintains its shape without constant compression, the SoftCONNECT tips distribute pressure more evenly. This is particularly valuable for long listening sessions, whether you are commuting on a train, working through a long coding session, or trying to maintain focus while exercising. The secure fit ensures that you aren't constantly reaching up to readjust your buds, which is a common frustration with the original Apple accessories.
However, this product is not a universal solution. The patented silicone sleeve is engineered to attach exclusively to the specific geometry of Apple AirPods 1st and 2nd Generation and Apple EarPods. If you have moved on to the newer AirPods Pro models, or if you use third-party earbuds with a different stem diameter, these tips will not fit. Furthermore, because the attachment mechanism relies on a friction fit around the stem, you must remember to remove the tips before placing the AirPods back into their charging case, as leaving them on could prevent the case from closing properly or interfere with the charging contacts.

When you look at the Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips, the primary goal shifts from general daily utility to specialized performance for sleep and quiet environments. These tips are manufactured specifically for the Soundcore Sleep A20 and A30 earbuds, devices that are already optimized for side-sleeping and low-profile use. The material choice here is soft silicone, which offers a different tactile experience compared to the foam used by competitors. Silicone tends to feel smoother and cooler against the skin, which can be a significant advantage for people who wear earbuds while lying down, as it reduces the sensation of pressure points digging into the ear canal.
One of the most practical aspects of the Klowcok offering is the quantity and variety included in the package. You receive six pairs of tips, split evenly into Small, Medium, and Large sizes. This level of variety is crucial because ear canal shapes vary wildly from person to person. Finding the perfect seal is often a matter of trial and error, and having multiple sizes available allows you to test which dimension provides the best acoustic isolation without buying separate packs. The design focuses heavily on effective noise blocking, which aligns perfectly with the intended use case of sleeping or focusing in noisy environments where sound leakage is a concern.
Despite these advantages, the Klowcok tips are highly exclusive. They are not designed to be interchangeable with other brands or even other models within the Soundcore lineup outside of the Sleep A20 and A30. If you own the Soundcore Liberty series or any other brand of bone conduction headphones, these tips will not work. Additionally, while silicone is durable and washable, some users find that it does not provide the same level of passive noise cancellation as high-density foam. However, for those who prioritize a lightweight, flexible fit that won't fall out while tossing and turning at night, the Klowcok tips deliver exactly what the data suggests they are built for.
• Best for Apple AirPods 1 & 2 Gen → COMPLY SoftCONNECT, as it is one of the few solutions explicitly designed for the stem geometry of these specific Apple devices.
• Best for Soundcore Sleep A20/A30 → Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips, since it is the only option listed that matches the exact connector requirements for these sleep-focused earbuds.
• Best for Immediate Comfort → COMPLY SoftCONNECT, because the non-memory foam expands instantly upon insertion without requiring the rolling technique needed for memory foam.
• Best for Noise Isolation Variety → Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips, due to the inclusion of three distinct sizes (S/M/L) allowing for precise fitting adjustments.
• Best for Active Workouts → COMPLY SoftCONNECT, given the emphasis on a secure grip that prevents slipping during physical activity.
• Best for Side Sleeping → Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips, as the soft silicone material is generally preferred for low-profile wear when lying on your side.
• Best Value in Quantity → Klowcok Replacement Ear Tips, offering six pairs total compared to the two pairs typically found in the COMPLY packaging.
• Best for Bone Conduction Headphones for Xbox → Neither product is a direct match, but if forced to choose based on compatibility with standard earbud styles often paired with adapters, Klowcok offers a broader range of sizes for customizing fit on compatible neckband setups.
• Best for Transparency Mode Headphone for Xbox → Neither is ideal, but COMPLY SoftCONNECT provides a better seal for standard drivers which might help manage ambient noise better than loose-fitting alternatives.
In my opinion, I would choose the COMPLY SoftCONNECT for anyone holding onto their original Apple AirPods 1st or 2nd Generation. The convenience of the non-memory foam design alone saves so much time and frustration compared to dealing with stiff memory foam that requires rolling every single time you put them in. It feels like a natural upgrade to an aging device, transforming a flimsy fit into something secure and comfortable enough for long commutes or intense gym sessions. While the Klowcok tips are excellent for their specific niche with Soundcore sleep buds, the COMPLY product solves a more universal pain point for a massive user base of Apple owners who still rely on the classic form factor. For those looking for bone conduction headphones for xbox or similar setups where a standard earbud adapter is needed, the robust build quality and ease of use from COMPLY make it the safer bet for a versatile accessory.
No, the COMPLY SoftCONNECT tips are designed exclusively for Apple AirPods 1st and 2nd Generation and Apple EarPods. They do not fit the newer AirPods Pro models due to differences in the stem design and nozzle size.
Yes, the Klowcok tips are made from soft silicone which is described as washable. This makes them easy to clean and maintain hygiene, especially for users who wear them for extended periods during sleep.
According to the manufacturer's description, the unique non-memory foam construction is designed to enhance sound quality by providing a better seal in the ear canal, which can improve bass response and reduce external noise compared to the original hard plastic tips.
The Klowcok package includes six pairs of ear tips in total, broken down into Small, Medium, and Large sizes, with two pairs provided for each size to ensure you can find the perfect fit for your ears.
