Complex Oxide Semiconductor Laboratory
복합 산화물 반도체 연구실에서는 금속과 산소가 결합하여 형성되는 산화물 소재를 기반으로, 기존 실리콘 반도체로는 구현하기 어려운 새로운 물성을 탐구합니다. 주요 연구 대상은 미래 반도체를 위한 투명 전도성, 금속–절연체 전이현상, 강유전성, 자성 특성, 고전자이동도 등입니다.
우리 연구실은 에피택셜 박막 성장 기술을 이용하여 산화물 반도체 신소재를 설계한 대로 원하는 두께, 층 구조, 결정 구조로 정밀하게 합성합니다. 마치 레고 블록을 층층이 쌓듯이 원자 수준에서 물질의 구조를 제어하고, 격자 내 결함과 계면 구조를 조절함으로써 신물성 기반 미래 반도체 소자를 구현하는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.
