Currently working as a Coordinator for the State Education Policy Commission, Karnataka (SEPCK) at the Karnataka State Higher Education Council (KSHEC), Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru; along with by lien post as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Government Women's College, Chintamani. Additionally, Dr. Swaminath S worked for the Department of Collegiate Education (DCE), the Higher Education Ministry (HEM), and the Government of Karnataka's Digital Learning Project, the Karnataka Learning Management System (KLMS), as a Nodal Officer and Subject Expert in the areas of Management and Commerce. He previously worked under various capacities such as Assistant Professor/Lecturer/Guest Professor/Visiting Professor at Al-Ameen Arts, Science, and Commerce College, I.G.N.O.U. He has 14 years of Teaching Experience and 5 years of Industrial Experience as a Finance and Accounts Executive at I.B.M. Daksh Business Process Services Private Limited and a Customer Care Executive at Reliance Communication. He obtained his M.Com., from Bangalore University in 2011 and headed on to acquire Postgraduate Diplomas in P.G.D.F.M., P.G.D.B.A., P.G.D.M.M., and M.B.A. from Karnataka State Open University. The subject of his Doctoral Dissertation (Ph.D.) at Bangalore University on the title "Adaptability and Accessibility of Multifarious E-Payment Channels and Its Impact on Unorganised Sector at Bangalore City," and he received it in 2021. He also has the NET-JRF and K-SET credentials in addition to these qualifications. He has significantly advanced in the field of Knowledge and Research. He received the Prof. Manubhai M. Shah Memorial Research Award and Gold Medal for his research paper titled "Role of Green Credit and Its Impact on Industrialization - An Empirical Study on Select Industries in Bangalore City" at the 68th All India Commerce Association held at Vinobha Bhave University, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The Best Paper Award was given to the six additional research publications at numerous National and International Conferences and Workshops on topics related to Business and Management. To highlight current challenges in the area, he has a YouTube channel called "Complex to Easy: It's all about Commerce" as well as a Google site where you can see his qualifications and accomplishments in the research and domain fields. The contributions can also be visible on the platforms like Google Slide Share, Research Gate, and Google Scholar. Over 112 guest lectures on various multidisciplinary topics were delivered at various colleges as of the current day served in various capacities such as Speaker, Co-chair, Rapporteur, Seminar Chair, Moderator for Panel Discussions, External Examiner for Viva-Voce Examinations, and Chairperson. Contributions include active participation in 1 Entrepreneurship Development Programme, 1 Professional Development Programme, 2 State Academic Development Programmes, 7 Faculty Development Programmes, 2 National-Level Workshops, 2 National-Level Seminars, 1 National Conference, and 2 International Conferences and has participated in 22 Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that NPTEL/ARPIT has given. Additionally, he served as a Subject Expert on the Board of Studies for the Academic Year 2020–21's revision of the B.Com., and B.B.A. syllabus.

From the Academic Year 2014 to 2016 he also served as the Deputy Custodian for Bangalore University's Post-Graduate Examinations (M.Com., M.Com., (F.A.), M.Com., (I.B.), and M.T.T.M - Revaluation of Correspondence and Diploma Units of Post-Graduation). He has taken part in and given presentations at more than 36 Conferences, Workshops, and Faculty Development Programmes at the State, National, and international levels; published 15 Research Articles in Peer-reviewed, UGC Care listed, and reputed journals. As part of the M.Com. and M.B.A. programmes at Bangalore University and Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), he also assisted more than 100 post-graduate students during Project Viva-Voce. He has planned numerous events for college students and faculty members, including Cultural Festivals, Workshops, National and International Conferences, and more.

He engaged in free coaching classes offered by SEVA Bharathi, Malleswaram for NET/SLET students and other aspirants in rural parts of Karnataka as an individual compassionate citizen and conducted classes for AC SAAD ORIENTATION CLASSES 2024 Aspirants at Creative IAS Academy, Chandra Layout, Bengaluru on the Subjects: Financial Management and Analysis, Financial Strategies, Corporate Finance and Personal Financial Planning. He is a Mock Stock Expert, Quiz Master and one of Judges for Best Manager Event at Stress Interviews; who is frequently called upon to judge and lead events in colleges. Additionally, he completed the "Save Fuel, Save Wildlife, Save Nature" Cycle Jatha from Bangalore to Bandipur National Park.
