Broadcast Journalism

A Reflection: My dream job is to work in broadcast for a national news network. Yet, my journalism program, unfortunately, doesn't have any digital or video form of journalism. We mostly specialize in print work, the yearbook, and photography. With this in mind, when I was preparing for this portfolio, I decided it was time I took a stab at telling a video story. Below is my attempt to create a story package with the Bill 183 story I worked on and referenced in my Writing and Reporting section. It took me a lot of time to familiarize myself with the style and the editing, but the end product is something I am proud of for being my first attempt. I also plan to make more video stories in my free time to add to my portfolio and to get some practice in before college!
