Privacy Policy for PDF Reader: Scan & File Tools
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
App Name: PDF Reader: Scan & File Tools
Package Name: com.pdf.reader.scan.file.tools
Developer: PAL ENTERPRISE
Contact Email: mohit126t@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy explains how files and related information are accessed, used, retained, and shared when you use the App.
1. Processing Your Files
The App does not require registration or sign-in. File browsing, document scanning, image-to-PDF and PDF-to-image conversion, PDF merging, splitting, and password protection are performed locally on your device. The App does not provide document uploads, cloud storage, or cloud synchronization.
After you grant file access, the App searches accessible storage directories for supported files. It reads file names, formats, paths, sizes, modification dates, and the contents needed to display, categorize, search, open, and process files. Recent-file records and bookmarks help you find files again.
Images captured through the scanning feature are processed and saved on your device. PDF passwords are used for the local encryption or unlocking operations you initiate. We do not upload document contents, scanned images, or file passwords to our servers or provide them to advertising or analytics services.
2. File and Camera Permissions
The App requests permissions for the following purposes:
- **File and storage access:** To find, read, import, save, and manage supported files, including renaming, deleting, and processing files at your request.
- **Camera access:** To capture documents and create PDFs when you start the scanning feature.
You can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings. Revoking file access may prevent file lists and processing tools from working properly. Revoking camera access prevents document capture through the camera.
3. Advertising, Analytics, and Diagnostics
The App uses **Google AdMob** to display and measure advertisements and **Firebase** for usage analytics, diagnostics, and stability improvements. These services use an internet connection, while document processing remains local.
Depending on the services, configurations, and your privacy choices, these services may collect and process:
- Device model, operating system, and app version;
- Advertising identifiers, app instance identifiers, and related device or app identifiers;
- IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them;
- App usage, ad impressions, and interaction records;
- Crash logs, error information, and performance diagnostics.
This information supports advertising, ad measurement, troubleshooting, usage analysis, and fraud prevention. Ad personalization depends on applicable requirements, your consent choices, and device settings. You can manage advertising identifiers and related preferences through your device’s advertising privacy settings.
For details, see the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy), [AdMob Data Disclosure](https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure), and [Firebase Privacy and Security Information](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy). These services may process technical information on servers outside your country or region.
4. Sharing Files and Contacting Us
When you choose to share or print a file, the App passes the selected file to the application, recipient, or printing service you select. Subsequent processing is governed by that recipient’s privacy practices.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you provide. We use this information only to respond, provide support, and handle your request. Please avoid sending unrelated sensitive documents or passwords.
We do not otherwise disclose your personal information except as described above, at your request, or when required by law.
5. Retention, Deletion, and Security
Original and generated files remain on your device until you delete them. Uninstalling the App may not remove documents saved in shared storage. You can manage those files using your device’s file management tools.
Local app records and preferences can be removed by clearing the App’s data through system settings or uninstalling the App. Analytics, advertising, and diagnostic information is retained according to the relevant services’ retention settings, processing purposes, and applicable requirements, and is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
We retain support correspondence only as necessary to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
You can contact us at the email address above with privacy questions or, subject to applicable law, to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we can identify and control.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users aged **13 and older** and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will reflect the latest revision. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
