Welcome to PDF Reader: Scan Edit Convert (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This document contains the Privacy Policy and User Agreement applicable to your use of the App.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this document. If you do not agree with this document, please discontinue use of the App and uninstall it.
1. About the Application
PDF Reader: Scan Edit Convert is a document reading, file management, and PDF utility application.
The App may provide features including:
- Viewing and managing PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, and image files;
- Searching files stored on your device;
- Recent files and bookmarks;
- Scanning documents;
- Editing PDF documents;
- Converting images to PDF;
- Converting PDF pages to images;
- Merging PDF files;
- Splitting PDF files;
- Compressing PDF files;
- Locking PDF files;
- Unlocking PDF files;
- Printing documents;
- Other PDF and document-management utilities.
The App does not require users to create an account or log in to use its core features.
2. Files and Documents
The App may access files and documents stored on your device in order to provide document reading, file management, conversion, editing, scanning, and related features.
Your documents and files are primarily processed locally on your device. Unless a specific feature clearly informs you otherwise and obtains any consent required by applicable law, we do not upload the contents of your personal documents to our servers for processing.
We do not claim ownership of your documents or their contents. You remain responsible for the files that you access, edit, convert, scan, protect, print, or otherwise process through the App.
3. All Files Access Permission
The App may request All Files Access permission, also known as MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, where permitted by the Android operating system.
This permission is used to support the App’s core file-management and document-reading functionality, including:
- Discovering supported documents stored on your device;
- Displaying PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, and image files;
- Searching and organizing documents;
- Opening files from different storage locations;
- Accessing files for PDF conversion and processing;
- Saving processed or generated files;
- Supporting Recent Files and Bookmark functionality.
This permission is used only to provide file-management and document-related features initiated or reasonably expected by the user.
The App does not use All Files Access for purposes unrelated to its core document and file-management functionality.
You may manage or revoke this permission through Android system settings. If required permissions are disabled, certain file scanning, search, opening, or processing features may not function properly.
4. Notification Permission
The App may request permission to send notifications.
Notifications may be used to provide application-related information, document-processing status, feature information, or other relevant updates.
You can disable notification permission at any time through your device’s system settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent you from using the App’s core document-reading features, but some reminders or processing status notifications may not be shown.
5. Camera Permission
When you choose to use features such as document scanning, the App may request access to your device’s camera.
Camera access is used to capture images for document scanning, PDF creation, and related functions.
The App will request this permission only when required by the relevant feature. You can deny or revoke camera permission through your device settings. If camera permission is disabled, scanning features may not be available.
6. Advertising
The App is supported by advertising.
Third-party advertising services may process certain device and advertising-related information to provide, measure, and improve advertisements.
Depending on the services used and your region, this information may include:
- Advertising identifiers;
- Device information;
- App interaction information;
- Approximate location derived from technical information such as IP address;
- Advertising performance and diagnostic information.
The App does not provide your personal document contents to advertising providers for advertising purposes.

7. Analytics and Crash Information

Users should appropriately protect their devices and sensitive documents, and maintain backups before performing editing, conversion, merging, splitting, compression, locking, unlocking, printing, or other file operations.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
11. Your Choices and Rights
