Elliott Gualtiere is beginning his 19th year at Fairfield Prep and serves the school community as their Dean of Mission and Ministry. As Dean of Mission and Ministry, he coordinates the adult faith formation programming which includes faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and the Board of Governors. He also oversees the Campus Ministry department which coordinates all the religious and spiritual life programming for students. Elliott has worked in ministry for the past 25 years as a theology teacher, campus minister, and parish youth minister. Elliott is a certified Spiritual Director and received his Spiritual Direction formation and certification through the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University. He lives in Shelton, CT with his wife and children.

As Director of Mission and Ministry at McQuaid Jesuit, Dr. Damian Zynda forms leaders in McQuaid Jesuit’s adult community in Ignatian Spirituality and Jesuit Pedagogy. She holds a doctorate in Theology from the University of St. Michael’s College, the Toronto School of Theology (2004), and Certifications in Advanced Jesuit Studies from Boston College (2016), Spiritual Direction in the Spiritual Exercises, Loyola House, Guelph, Ontario, Canada (1991), and Supervision of Spiritual Directors from St. Meinrad’s School of Theology, St. Meinrad, Indiana (2014). Since 2004 she has been on faculty in the Christian Spirituality and Master of Ministry Programs at Creighton University forming spiritual directors in the Ignatian Tradition for almost two decades. Damian is an active member of the JSN Ignatian Identity and Mission Officers’ Cohort and UNE Province Mission and Identity Cohort.

Mr. Bob Stephan is the director of Ignatian Formation and Adult Spirituality at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. Since 2005, Bob has served as a spiritual director or facilitator of the Spiritual Exercises in various contexts in Chicago, Boston, Orange County, CA, and Seattle. He completed his first spiritual direction training program at Loyola Chicago with additional formation at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley and the Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos. Bob holds degrees in theology and spirituality from Loyola University Chicago and Boston College and is committed to applying the transformative wisdom of St. Ignatius to our 21st Century context.
Sr. Pat Mensing SSJ is a Sister of Saint Joseph of Philadelphia and lives in suburban Philadelphia while serving in full time spirituality ministry. She holds an MA in Theology from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT and a Certificate in Ignatian Spiritual Direction and Retreats from Creighton University’s Ignatian Spirituality Program. She has given individual spiritual direction, retreats, and days of prayer at schools, parishes, and retreat centers since 2008. Prior to her work in spirituality, Pat served in high school education in PA and MD, as well as parish work as a pastoral associate for social justice/social concerns at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Potomac, MD. Pat enjoys reading, cooking, thought-provoking movies and TV series on Netflix!
John Hanrahan has been a member of the Fairfield Prep community for the past 42
years, as teacher and counselor and now serves as Dean of School and College Counseling. In addition to serving as a college counselor and coordinating all counseling activities, John is a supporter of Prep’s Campus Ministry program, serving on retreats and service missions, accompanying Prep students on their spiritual journeys. He is also a supporter of Prep’s Adult Spirituality programs for faculty and parents. Active in parish life as well at St. Anthony of Padua in Fairfield, CT, John and his wife Sara serve as Eucharistic Minister. John was trained and is active as a Spiritual Director, Supervisor and director of the Spiritual Exercises through the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality. John and his wife of 47 years are blessed as parents of three wonderful adult children and four amazing grandchildren.
Lori Stanley, MA, is the Executive Director of Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA. She has been a practitioner of Ignatian spirituality for 20 years and uses its tools to address social injustices and to answer the call to accompany, educate and empower others to discover God’s deep personal love for them. Lori has a MA in Pastoral Theology with a concentration in Spiritual Direction from Loyola Marymount University. She and her husband of 35 years have one adult daughter.
Eric Bessette is an ordained deacon in the Diocese of Rochester currently serving the Church of the Transfiguration in Pittsford, NY He holds a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry and was formed as an Ignatian Spiritual Director. Ordained in 2011, Eric has provided ongoing spiritual direction and has directed the Spiritual Exercises for over a decade. Eric and his wife of 35 years, Marlene have two adult children (AJ-33, Danielle-29). Eric is a financial analyst for General Motors, he loves to golf and follow the NewYork Giants.
Mona Snider has been accompanying people in the 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises since 2007 through the Ignatian Spirituality Center of Kansas City. At the ISC-KC, Mona mentors prayer guides, instructs Peer Supervision and offers prayer guide workshops in the Spiritual Exercises. Mona earned a graduate certificate in Spiritual Direction and Directed Retreats from Creighton University in 2015 and is a practicing Spiritual Director. Lately she has enjoyed serving on various retreat teams for Colleague Retreats in the Central Southern Province of the Society of Jesus. She and her husband Bruce reside in Kansas City and are the parents of three adult children.
Ann Holmquist is the Vice President for Mission at Loyola High School of Los Angeles where she accompanies and supports the adult community in Ignatian formation and ways of proceeding. Committed to the life-giving experience and wisdom of Ignatian spirituality, Ann is a practiced Ignatian leader and spiritual companion. She has served in provincial and national roles aimed at Ignatian formation and is currently an active member of the JSN Ignatian Identity and Mission Officers’ cohort. Ann holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Theology and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University. Ann and her husband Robert have four adult children and are grandparents of six grandsons.
Megan Pryor Lorentz is the Director of Adult Spirituality at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco. Megan did her ministry training at Boston College where she earned her M.Ed. at the Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. She's worked in LMU's campus ministry department and offered a 19th Annotation program as Director of the Ignatian Spiritual Life Center in San Francisco, (a ministry of the Jesuit parish, St. Agnes). She continues that work with the Exercises at SI. In addition, Megan offers on-going direction and spiritual conversation as well as shorter form Ignatian retreats to the faculty, staff and parent communities.
Bob Muhlnickel holds advanced degrees in theology and social work, with a Ph. D. in Philosophy from the University of Rochester. He is a member of the Church of the Transfiguration in Pittsford, NY, where he has directed the Spiritual Exercises in the 19th Annotation format for over a decade. Bob teaches philosophy, democracy, and ethics, and is coordinator of the philosophy group at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY. Bob is a founding and active member of Global Solidarity at the Church of the Transfiguration, which partners with Food for the Poor in El Salvador.
Janet Perucca-Kleinhofer is the Director of Adult Spirituality at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California. She is an experienced spiritual director, pastoral counselor, director of the 19th Annotation retreat for both individuals and small groups. Janet has ministered in spiritual direction, faith formation, retreat facilitation, grief ministry for over thirty-five years. She is passionate about accompanying individuals as they search for meaning and discern God’s invitation in their lives.
Nancy Small serves as the associate director for spiritual direction initiatives at the Office of Ignatian Spirituality. She is a seasoned spiritual director with certificates in spiritual direction and Ignatian 19th annotation retreat direction. Her love of Ignatian spirituality began when she was a student at Boston College and grew during her years as a Jesuit Volunteer. Nancy received her Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary and has been active in ministries of spiritual care, peacemaking, contemplative retreats and pastoral leadership for over twenty-five years. She is the author of Seizing the Nonviolent Moments (Cascade Books, 2015) and her writing has appeared in America Magazine, dotMagis and the National Catholic Reporter.
Meg Kastner has been engaged in Ignatian Spirituality since 2009 offering Spiritual Direction for the 19th Annotation Retreat of the Spiritual Exercises as of 2017. She is certified through the Spiritual Directors Institute Center for the Ignatian Spirituality of Western, NY along with her course studies through St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry. After 25 years in the Telecommunication Industry directing the build of call center operations and project management teams focused on client relationships, Meg moved into Parish Life Administration supporting the Parish Office as well as Formation, Liturgy, Peace & Justice and Ignatian Ministries. Her mission work of 13 years coordinating an annual retreat for women to serve the people of Booneville, KY in the Appalachian Mountains greatly influenced Meg and this direction in her life. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from State University of New York at Potsdam. Meg is married to her husband Mark for 37 years and is mother to her two adult children (Jacob and Johanna) and a rambunctious springer spaniel (Marta).
