The scientific scope of the workshop is intentionally broad, gathering researchers from different fields and backgrounds working on fundamental or applied aspects of Complex Materials at Microscale.
In order to make this workshop an enjoyable and stimulating event for all the attendants, we recommend you bear in mind the following aspects when preparing your presentation:
Colleagues from other departments may not know you: this is an opportunity to introduce yourself!
Do not hesitate to dedicate plenty of time to presenting the context and motivation of your work.
Avoid technicalities and acronyms, whenever possible, and focus on a few key messages.
No need to rush: there will be time to exchange with your colleagues during the breaks and lunch buffet!
The main language of the workshop will be English. However, we want to leave open the possibility to give the presentation in Spanish, so that everyone may feel confortable sharing their research.
Poster sessions will take place in a casual atmosphere, during the coffee breaks and the lunch buffet. The corresponding time slots can be found in the program of the workshop.
Recommended poster size is A0 or smaller, portrait orientation. Presenters should come with their poster already printed.
Posters shall be pasted on the walls of the coffee room (double-sided tape will be made available) and separated by at least 1.5 m. Presenters are responsible for hanging their poster in the morning, at the beginning of the workshop, and for removing it at the end of the day.
