We are resuming our After-School Homework Club program, virtually. Through volunteers, we offer homework assistance to 3rd-8th grade students during 30-minute weekly sessions. Caregivers interested in more information may visit this page: https://www.tulsalibrary.org/after-school-homework-club
We are also continuing our Books to Treasure program for second graders. This is their chance to sign up for a special-edition library card featuring artwork from an illustrator of children's literature. This year we have selected Selina Alko as our featured illustrator. Second graders will also receive a free book illustrated by Alko. Mr. Paul from Hardesty Regional Library will be in touch with your school's media specialist with more information about this program very soon.
Of course, not only second graders can get a library card — anyone can! It's as easy as visiting your local library with proof of address (residence or employment) in Tulsa County. You can even apply online and have that card mailed to you: https://www.tulsalibrary.org/get-a-library-card
As vaccination rates rise and COVID hospitalization rates fall, we will be able to offer in-person programming increasingly in the coming months. Check https://events.tulsalibrary.org/events for more information about those events and our currently offered virtual events.
