ICAN Early Talk Boost6 hoursEarly Years practitioners (i.e. those working in PVIs, maintained nurseries, children’s centres and childminders) N.B. Each setting then sends at least 2 practitioners for each set of resources they purchaseEarly Talk Boost is a targeted intervention aimed at 3-4 year old children with delayed language development helping to boost their language skills to help narrow the gap between them and their peers
ICAN KS1 Talk Boost6 hoursTeaching staff (SENCos, Teachers and Teaching Assistants). Schools send 2 practitioners (usually a teacher and a TA). There is a maximum of 5 schools i.e. 10 participants, on each training dayICAN Talk Boost is a targeted, evidence-based, in-school programme delivered by teachers and teaching assistants, that can accelerate children's progress in language and communication by an average of 18 months after ten weeks of intervention
