Rivers of Mercy Children’s Home is a ministry that offers a safe, loving and Christian home for the abused, abandoned, and neglected children of Juarez. They receive the majority of the children from DIF (Mexican social services); these are children who have been removed from their families because of neglect or mistreatment and thus live at Rivers of Mercy full-time.
Kristin, Emmis and others at ROM become their family, and many of the children will grow up at Rivers of Mercy into adulthood. They offer the children much more than food and shelter; they seek to meet their spiritual and educational needs as well. The foremost objective is that during their time at the children’s home, the kids will feel that they are part of a loving family, hear the gospel, believe in Christ as their personal Savior, and develop a passion for God’s name to be proclaimed and glorified in the nations.
