If you want superior battery longevity and high-resolution audio streaming for long study sessions, choose commalta Hybrid Active Noise; if you need a dedicated carrying case and ultra-long playtime with app-based customization, choose 1Mii E700. Both are solid over-ear options that tackle the noise-cancelling requirement head-on, but they serve different priorities when you are trying to focus on your work or homework. The decision comes down to whether you value raw endurance and a lighter build or advanced codec support and portability accessories.
• commalta Hybrid Active Noise: Delivers a lightweight, ergonomic design with 30 hours of continuous playback, ideal for those who prioritize comfort during extended wear; however, it lacks a dedicated travel case and supports standard Bluetooth codecs rather than Hi-Res formats.
• 1Mii E700: Offers an impressive 75-hour battery life, Hi-Res LDAC support for studio-quality sound, and includes a protective storage case; yet it is slightly heavier and requires a bit more setup via its companion app to unlock all features.
• Who should pick commalta: Students or commuters who want a simple, no-fuss experience with a focus on deep bass and all-day comfort without extra bulk.
• Who should pick 1Mii: Audiophiles or travelers who demand maximum battery life, low-latency connections for TV or gaming, and the convenience of a hard-shell carrying case.
The commalta Hybrid Active Noise headphones are built around the concept of immersion without the weight penalty. At just 0.46 kg, this pair feels noticeably lighter than many competitors in the over-ear category. This matters significantly when you are using them for study. You might find yourself wearing headphones for three or four hours straight while reading textbooks or writing papers. The ergonomic headband and flexible construction are designed to distribute that weight evenly, ensuring the clamping force remains secure without digging into your skull. If you have ever had to remove heavy headphones after a few hours due to fatigue, the lightweight plastic enclosure here offers a distinct advantage.
Audio quality is driven by 40mm dynamic drivers capable of reproducing frequencies from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. This range covers the full spectrum of human hearing, delivering what the manufacturer describes as crisp audio with balanced bass. For a student listening to lectures, podcasts, or lo-fi beats to concentrate, the sound profile aims to be rich and clear. The hybrid active noise cancellation system works to eliminate ambient distractions like traffic hum or office chatter, allowing you to block out the world and focus entirely on the material in front of you. There is also a transparency mode included, which lets you hear announcements or conversations without removing the earcups—a practical feature for shared living spaces or busy libraries where you need situational awareness.

Call quality is another area where this model shines, utilizing specific voice pick-up technology to isolate your voice from background wind or noise. While this is primarily a music and study device, the ability to take clear calls in windy conditions adds versatility for remote work or quick check-ins. The battery life of 30 hours is substantial enough to last through multiple days of heavy use before needing a recharge, making it reliable for long weekends or intensive exam weeks. However, users who require wired connections for zero-latency gaming or high-fidelity lossless audio via USB-C will find the wireless-only connectivity limiting compared to some other market options. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense headset that excels in comfort and basic performance.
The 1Mii E700 takes a different approach, prioritizing longevity and audio fidelity above all else. With a staggering 75-hour battery average life, this product is engineered for people who hate charging their devices. If you are a student who forgets to charge headphones overnight or travels frequently, knowing you can go weeks between charges is a massive relief. The battery recharges fully in about three hours, which is reasonable given the capacity. This endurance makes it a top contender for anyone looking for the best over ear headphones for study who also needs reliability during long flights or multi-day trips away from power outlets.
Audio performance here is elevated through support for Hi-Res LDAC and aptX Low Latency codecs. These technologies allow for higher bitrate transmission over Bluetooth, resulting in sound that retains more detail and clarity than standard SBC or AAC streams. The frequency response extends up to 40 kHz, well beyond the typical human hearing limit, suggesting a driver system tuned for exceptional precision. The 40mm drivers in this unit are paired with a sensitivity of 105 dB and an impedance of 24 ohms, which helps drive the sound efficiently. For students studying music production, language learning, or anyone sensitive to audio compression artifacts, the LDAC support provides a tangible upgrade in soundstage and instrument separation. Additionally, the 40-millisecond audio latency ensures that video content on tablets or TVs stays perfectly synchronized with the audio, eliminating the annoying lip-sync issues common with cheaper Bluetooth headphones.
Comfort is addressed through the use of memory foam and faux leather materials, creating a soft seal around the ears that aids both noise isolation and long-term wearability. Unlike the commalta model, the 1Mii E700 comes with a dedicated carrying case made of fabric, measuring roughly 8.66 inches in length. This inclusion is crucial for travelers or students moving between classes and dorm rooms, as it protects the headphones from being crushed in a backpack. The control scheme is versatile, offering button controls alongside an app interface that allows you to manage ANC modes, check battery status, and set auto-power-off functions. The only trade-off is the slightly higher weight of 276 grams (excluding the case) and the necessity of downloading an app to access the full suite of features, which adds a layer of complexity for users who prefer plug-and-play simplicity.

• Best value for tech enthusiasts → 1Mii E700: Offers more connectivity options including aptX LL and USB Type-C audio paths for wired use.
I would buy the 1Mii E700 because the combination of 75-hour battery life and Hi-Res LDAC support creates a far more robust tool for serious study. When I am sitting down to work for hours, I do not want to worry about finding a charger or settling for compressed audio quality. The inclusion of the carrying case also solves the problem of protecting my investment while moving between locations. While the commalta option is excellent and very comfortable, the 1Mii E700 simply offers more utility and better sound reproduction for the effort required to set it up. It is the smarter choice for anyone who treats their headphones as a primary tool for productivity and learning.
