Exploring the world of atoms, and molecules...
Welcome our Research Group Website
We are an experimental research group at IISER Bhopal working in the interdisciplinary field of atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics.
Our research focuses on understanding the correlated dynamics of atoms, molecules, and clusters using crossed-beam, multiparticle coincidence-imaging techniques. By combining advanced experimental methods in gas-phase AMO physics with short laser pulses, electron beams, and slow ion beams, we investigate ionization, charge transfer, molecular fragmentation, and other reaction processes at the single-molecule level.
We employ techniques such as Velocity Map Imaging (VMI) and Cold Target Recoil Ion Momentum Spectroscopy (COLTRIMS), also known as a Reaction Microscope (ReMi), to obtain momentum-resolved information on reaction products. These measurements allow us to explore the energetics, kinematics, and underlying dynamics of laser-, electron-, and ion-induced atomic and molecular processes.
