Privacy through every season
From a first hive inspection to the last honey harvest of the season, your beekeeping observations belong to you. This policy explains the privacy practices of Combstead for iOS.
Start without signing up
Combstead requires no registration or account. You do not need to provide your name, email address, or a personal profile to use the app.
No information collected from the app
Combstead does not collect personal information, usage statistics, device identifiers, or location data. The app does not send your activity or content to the developer. There are no advertisements, analytics tools, tracking technologies, or integrated third-party services. No app data is sold, rented, or shared.
Your beekeeping information
Any inspection notes, colony-space plans, harvest records, or preferences you save in Combstead stay on your device. The developer has no access to these entries and does not maintain a server or online account containing them.
Retention and control
Information stored by the app stays locally until you remove it using available app controls or delete the app. Device backups may retain copies according to your Apple settings. Those backups are managed by you and Apple; the developer cannot access or delete them.
Contacting the developer

If you choose to email, the developer receives your email address and whatever you include in the message, and uses that correspondence to respond and address your request. Please include only the information needed for assistance. Support email is separate from the app’s operation and passes through email providers.
Children’s privacy
The same no-collection approach applies to all users, including children. Combstead does not request personal details or create user profiles.
Protecting local records
A device passcode and careful management of device access and backups help protect locally stored information. No storage method can provide an absolute security guarantee.

This policy describes Combstead. Apple’s App Store, iOS, device backup services, and the Google Sites page hosting this policy operate under their respective privacy policies.
