COMA Secure is committed to protecting user privacy. This browser extension is designed as a security tool to prevent unwanted pop-ups, pop-unders, and malicious redirects. This policy explains how we handle data to provide our services.
1. Information We Collect
To provide license management and protection features, COMA Secure processes the following information:
Authentication Data: If you choose to use the Premium/Trial features, we collect your Google ID and Email Address via Google OAuth2. This is used exclusively to identify your account and manage your 7-day trial or premium subscription.
Protection Settings: User-defined domain lists and toggle states are stored locally on your device.
License Status: Information regarding your trial start date and subscription tier.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected data strictly for:
License Verification: To track trial periods and activate premium features via our Firebase backend.
Functionality: To enable/disable blocking features on specific websites based on your preferences.
Security: To ensure the extension operates correctly across different browser sessions.
COMA Secure does NOT collect, store, or transmit your browsing history, visited URLs (except for the domains you manually add to your blocklist), page content, or any keystrokes.
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Firebase Realtime Database: We use Firebase to synchronize your license status (Google ID and subscription tier). No browsing data or website activity is ever sent to Firebase.
Local Storage: Your domain blocklist remains on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
Google Identity API: We use Google's official identity service for secure authentication. We do not have access to your Google account password.
4. No Data Selling or Tracking
We NEVER sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
We NEVER use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
We NEVER track your activity across the web for profiling.
5. Permissions Justification
"Access to all websites" (<all_urls>): Required to monitor and block malicious scripts, redirects, and pop-ups on pages you choose to protect.
"Tabs" & "WebNavigation": Required to detect and close unauthorized popup windows in real-time.
"Storage": Required to save your settings and license info locally.
"Identity": Required for secure account authentication.
6. User Control & Data Deletion
Users have full control over their data. You can remove all locally stored data by uninstalling the extension. If you wish to have your Google ID removed from our license database (Firebase), please contact us at the email below.
