I am twice a Gamecock, having graduated from Jax State with both an undergrauate Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and then later with a Master of Arts in Integrated Studies. Additional schooling:

• Graduate certificate in User Experience from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (a.k.a. the 18 hrs CM that lets me teach this course!)

• Certificate in Instructional Design from Athens State University

• Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education in Instructional Systems and Learning Sciences from Auburn University at Montgomery

My full time role is as the Director of the Teaching and Learning Center for Gadsden State Community College, but my former roles have included work in Disability Services, PR and Marketing, journalism, a museum, a library, and freelance graphic design — see some of the Publications I have worked on.

I look forward to working with you this semester. This is the only class I teach for Jax State, so if you want to connect on LinkedIn or Bluesky after the course, please do. And check out the Resources page!
