RESOURCE LIST: PROTECTING, SUPPORTING, AND EDUCATING CHILDREN IN MIGRATION, REFUGEE, AND DISPLACEMENT CONTEXTS AROUND THE WORLD
(Revised June 1, 2024)
Introduction: This is a living document describing resources for those who work with and for children and their families in various refugee, migration, and displacement contexts around the world. Many of these programs and materials include good, trauma-informed practices for these populations. Most of the items are available on-line and free.
The Resource List is a “living document.” Additional examples of good practices may be sent to this link: RL- RECOMMENDATIONS for review. Updates to the list will be posted periodically on the Committee on Migration (CoM) website at https://ngo-migration.org.
Most importantly, we ask you to share the list with colleagues, friends, and organizations in your circle. You are the bridge between the Resource List and the people who need it most.
Note: The umbrella term “children on the move,” which appears in several of the listed resources, refers to children moving for a variety of reasons, including war, conflict, poverty, natural disaster, climate change, discrimination, lack of access to education, health, and social services. They may be forcibly moved or move by choice, within or between countries, and with or without their parents or other caregivers.
