1. Who We Are
Focly: Focus & Flow ("Focly") is developed by KarCore Labs. For questions about this policy, contact us at karcorelabsreq@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
KarCore Labs does not collect any personal information. We do not operate servers, databases, or analytics pipelines connected to Focly. All data — session history, intentions, reflections, streak counts, allowed app lists, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
3. Permissions the App Uses
Focly requests the following Android permissions, each used solely on your device:
Internet & Network State – Required by Google AdMob to serve ads.
Usage Access – Detects the foreground app to enforce your focus session. Read locally, never transmitted.
Query All Packages – Displays installed apps when setting up your Allowed Apps list. Processed locally only.
Display Over Other Apps – Shows a blocking screen if you navigate away during a session. No data is collected.
Device Administrator – Used only to pin the screen during active focus sessions.
Foreground Service – Keeps the focus guard running reliably during a session.
Wake Lock – Prevents the screen from sleeping while a session is active.
Vibrate – Provides haptic feedback on session events (can be disabled in settings).
Post Notifications – Sends local on-device notifications about session status.
Accelerometer / Gravity Sensor – Detects device movement (e.g., phone face-down). Processed in memory only, never recorded or transmitted.
4. Data Stored on Your Device
The following is stored in local storage only and never sent to any server:
Session history: date, duration, outcome, intention text, and reflection notes.
Session statistics: total sessions, daily count, streaks, and focus score.
Settings: haptic preference, blocking strictness, streak freeze count.
Allowed Apps list and saved focus profiles.
Onboarding completion status.
You can delete all data at any time via Stats → Delete All Sessions, or by uninstalling the app.
5. Advertising – Google AdMob
Focly displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and usage information including advertising ID, IP address, device type, OS, and ad interaction data. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). KarCore Labs does not receive any personally identifiable information from AdMob.
To opt out of personalized ads, go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
6. Children's Privacy
Focly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data Sharing
KarCore Labs does not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties, except through AdMob as described in Section 5.
8. Data Security
All app data is stored locally on your device. Its security is governed by your device's own protections (lock screen, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.
9. Your Rights
Since KarCore Labs holds no personal data on external servers, you control all data directly:
Delete session history: Stats screen → Delete All Sessions.
Reset all app data: Android Settings → Apps → Focly: Focus & Flow → Clear Data.
Reset advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset Advertising ID.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
