Government Island (in the Columbia River northeast of Portland) is a series of islands accessible by boat only. There are two docks (including Bartlett Landing) and a floating tie-up on the north side of the main island.
With 15 miles of shoreline, the park is popular with anglers. Camping is permitted below the vegetation line around the perimeter and in a few upload areas where picnic tables and a shelter have been installed. There are trails along the north side of Government Island.
