The political methodology colloquium is a seminar in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. The seminar invites speakers from both Columbia and other universities who are developing and applying political methodology and applied statistics in general.
Faculty organizers are Naoki Egami , Andrew Gelman, and Don Green . The graduate student coordinator is Diana Lee.
In this academic year 2021-2022, we hold seminars in-person on Fridays from 12:00-1:30 pm at 707 International Affairs Building (the Lindsay Rogers Room). We will follow Columbia's COVID-19 policy, and we ask participants to follow it, too. Following the policy on COVID-19, we cannot serve lunch in seminars.
Presentations will include questions from and discussions with graduate students, faculty, and members of the Columbia community. Registration in advance is not required.
Presentations by external speakers will be followed by short one-on-one meetings with Columbia faculty and a meeting with students interested in political methodology.
We gratefully acknowledge support by the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP) at Columbia University.
