A Legacy of Service,
A Lifetime of Art
Long before I officially founded ColourPop Facepaint, my life was dedicated to a career in social services & and being a foster parent (20+ years) to some pretty amazing teenagers (who are all adults now & very much a part of my life today).
From Leadership to Artistry
In 2013, I was deeply honoured to receive the 'Dave Weber Distinguished Leadership' award - a recognition given to one individual annually for their dedication to work with our city's most vulnerable children & youth. At that time, my "leadership" happened in boardrooms, residential care homes, and justice settings.
Today, that leadership has taken on a more colourful form turning a lifelong passion for "therapeutic art" into a full-time mission of joy.
Award-Winning Joy
Honoured to be recognized again, but in a different aspect of talent; ColourPop Facepaint received the 2026 Canadian Choice Award Winner for Face Painting in Hamilton.
To go from being recognized for crisis leadership to being celebrated for performance art, is a full-circle moment I never could have imagined. Whether supporting at-risk youth, mentoring others to do the same, or painting a superhero at a birthday party today, my goal has remained the same: to elevate others in a positive way.
From the local art gallery to your backyard, we bring an award-winning touch to every face we paint.
