PRIVACY POLICY FOR COLOR PIXELS

1. INTRODUCTION
Color Pixels is a paint-by-number coloring application developed and published by Salmane Chahidi ("we", "our", or "us").
This Privacy Policy explains what information is stored or processed when you use the Color Pixels mobile application ("App"), why it is used, how third-party services process information, and the choices available to users and parents.

2. APP RATING AND AUDIENCE
Color Pixels is intended for users aged 13 and over. The App contains no violent, adult, or otherwise inappropriate content, and advertising content is capped at a teen rating.
The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not enrolled in the Google Play Families programme. Users under 13 should not use the App without the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON THE DEVICE
Color Pixels stores the following information locally on the user's device so that the App can function:
- Coloring progress and completed pictures
- Favorite and unlocked pictures
- Virtual coins, hints, rewards, and achievements
- Daily challenge streak and reward history
- Language, sound, vibration, notification, theme, and analytics preferences
- Local profile and gameplay settings
- Which purchased entitlements are active, such as Remove Ads and picture packs
This local information is not uploaded to a server operated by us. Color Pixels does not operate a remote user-account database and does not use Firebase Crashlytics.
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to receive aggregate usage statistics, as described in Section 5.
The App does not request access to:
- Precise GPS location
- Contacts
- Phone calls or SMS messages
- Photos or personal files
- Microphone or camera
4. INFORMATION PROCESSED BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Although gameplay information remains on the device, the App uses Google services that may automatically process technical information.
Google AdMob may process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location
- Advertising interactions, including ad impressions, clicks, and video views
- App and device information
- Diagnostic and performance information
- Device or app identifiers, including the advertising identifier where the user has consented, subject to applicable consent and platform restrictions
Google Play Billing may process:
- The identifier of the purchased product
- Purchase status and entitlement status
- Purchase token and transaction-related information
- Google Play account information required by Google to complete or restore a purchase
Google Analytics for Firebase may process the aggregate usage information described in Section 5.
We do not receive or store payment-card or bank-account information. Payments are processed exclusively by Google Play.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. This information is used only to respond to your request and provide support.
5. ANALYTICS
Color Pixels uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used, so that we can improve it and decide which content to produce next.
The service is configured as follows:
- Advertising consent signals (AD_STORAGE, AD_USER_DATA, AD_PERSONALIZATION) follow the user's consent. Where consent is given, advertising signals may be attached to analytics events; where it is refused or not available, they are not
- No user identifier is ever set. The App never calls setUserId and does not create an analytics profile of an individual
- Only aggregate gameplay and monetization events are recorded, such as a picture being opened or completed, the shop being opened, a rewarded video being watched, or a purchase being started or completed
- Numeric values such as the number of completed pictures are recorded in coarse ranges rather than exact figures
- No name, email address, message content, precise location, or drawing content is ever transmitted
Google may derive approximate demographic and general location information from its own aggregated signals, and provides it to us only as anonymized, grouped statistics. We do not receive information identifying any individual user.
Your choice. Analytics can be turned off at any time in Settings > Privacy > Usage statistics. Turning it off stops collection immediately, and the choice is remembered. Turning it off does not affect gameplay, purchases, or progress.
6. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Information is used to:
- Save progress and preferences locally
- Provide gameplay, rewards, and unlocked content
- Display advertisements, personalized only where the user has consented
- Verify and restore in-app purchases
- Understand aggregate usage in order to improve the App
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, and diagnose technical problems
- Respond to support or privacy requests
We do not sell personal information.
7. ADVERTISING
Color Pixels uses Google AdMob to display:
- Banner advertisements
- Interstitial advertisements
- Rewarded advertisements that users may choose to watch in exchange for an in-app reward
Advertising requests are not configured for child-directed treatment, because the App is not directed to children. The maximum advertising content rating is set to T (Teen): advertisements for alcohol, gambling, or adult content are not served.
Interstitial advertisements are never shown before or during coloring. They appear only at a natural break after a picture has been completed, and never during the first pictures a new player completes. Rewarded advertisements are always optional and are only shown after the user explicitly chooses to watch one.
Personalized advertising may be served where the user has consented to it. In the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, consent is requested through Google's User Messaging Platform on first launch and can be changed at any time through Settings > Privacy > Ad privacy settings. Where consent is refused or has not been given, advertising is contextual and not personalized.
Google may in either case use limited technical information to deliver advertisements, measure performance, maintain security, and prevent invalid traffic or fraud.
Users who purchase Remove Ads will no longer be shown banner, interstitial, or rewarded advertisements.

8. IN-APP PURCHASES
Color Pixels offers the following in-app products. All are one-time purchases; the App offers no subscriptions.
Permanent entitlements (purchased once, restored automatically):
- Remove Ads: remove_ads
- Welcome Pack: starter_pack
- Winter picture pack: pack_winter
- Halloween picture pack: pack_halloween
Consumable items (may be purchased more than once):
- Coin packs: coins_500, coins_2000, coins_10000
- Hint packs: hints_5, hints_20, hints_50
All purchases are processed exclusively by Google Play. The App may receive the purchase status and a purchase token from Google Play in order to activate or restore an entitlement. We do not receive or store the user's payment-card information.
Deleting local App data does not necessarily remove a purchase from the user's Google Play purchase history. An eligible purchase may be restored through the Google Play account that originally completed it. Permanent entitlements are re-checked with Google Play each time the App starts, which also means an entitlement is removed if the corresponding purchase is refunded or revoked.
9. NOTIFICATIONS
The App can display local reminders inviting the user to return and continue coloring. These reminders are generated entirely on the device; no reminder is sent from a server, and no information leaves the device in order to produce one.
Notifications can be turned off at any time in Settings > Notifications, or through the Android system settings for the App. On Android 13 and later, notifications are only shown if the user grants the system notification permission.
10. DATA SHARING
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Information may be processed by the following service providers only as needed to operate the App:
- Google AdMob: advertising, ad measurement, security, and fraud prevention
- Google Play Billing: processing, verifying, and restoring in-app purchases
- Google Analytics for Firebase: aggregate usage statistics, as described in Section 5
Google processes information under its own privacy policies and applicable legal obligations.
We may also disclose information if required by law, a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the App.
11. YOUNGER USERS
Color Pixels is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.
Whatever the user's age, the following hold:
- The App does not require a real name, email address, phone number, or precise location
- The maximum advertising content rating is T (Teen)
- Analytics never sets a user identifier and records only aggregate events
- The App has no public chat, social messaging, or user-generated content sharing with strangers
- Gameplay and profile information are stored locally on the device
A user, parent, or guardian may delete the local profile and gameplay data through Settings > Delete Account. The same local data can also be removed by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App. Analytics may be disabled through Settings > Privacy, and advertising consent changed through Settings > Privacy > Ad privacy settings.

12. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Local gameplay data and preferences remain on the device until the user:
- Selects Settings > Delete Account
- Clears the App's storage through Android settings
- Uninstalls the App
The Delete Account option deletes the local profile, progress, rewards, and preferences. Color Pixels does not maintain a remote account for the user.
Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Google may retain advertising, analytics, and purchase-related information according to its own retention policies.
13. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to limit the information processed by the App. Local information remains in the App's private device storage, and Android backup is disabled for the App.
Network communications with Google services use encrypted connections, and cleartext network traffic is blocked. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
14. LEGAL BASES AND PRIVACY RIGHTS
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, information is processed only when an appropriate legal basis exists. Depending on the context, this may include:
- Providing App functionality requested by the user
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App, provided those interests are not overridden by the user's rights
- Consent where consent is legally required
Depending on the user's location and applicable law, users may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
The right to object to analytics can be exercised directly in the App at any time through Settings > Privacy > Usage statistics.
Most gameplay information is stored only on the user's device and is not accessible to us. Users can manage or delete it directly through the App or Android settings.

15. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING
Google may process information in countries other than the user's country of residence. Google is responsible for applying the safeguards described in its privacy policy and required by applicable law.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its services, or legal requirements change. The revised version will display a new "Last updated" date.
Material changes may be communicated through the App, the Google Play store listing, or another appropriate method.
