Join us every Wednesday from 6-8pm at Colorful Connections, a safe space for youth ages 13-17 within the LGBTQIA+ community.
These weekly gatherings offer more than just connections – we provide a supportive environment where you can connect with peers who share similar experiences.
Explore educational aspects with us as we delve into insightful discussions on LGBTQIA+ history, understanding gender identity, and more.
We collaborate with community partners, bringing in local experts, community health organizations, and vibrant personalities like drag queens to enhance our learning experience.
Our meetings are a comfortable, welcoming meet-up for self-discovery, building connections, and gaining valuable knowledge into the LGBTQIA+ community's rich history. Join Colorful Connections where acceptance is the norm, and life is a shared journey.
Colorful Connections is grateful for our partnership with the Community of Christ Church, serving as our meeting spot. Thanks to this collaboration, we have a welcoming space to come together, connect, and learn. This partnership contributes toward our commitment to create a supportive environment within the broader community.
By collaborating with local organizations, guest speakers, and diverse individuals, we create a dynamic and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ teens. These partnerships not only expand our participants' horizons but also foster a sense of belonging within the broader community, strengthening our collective impact.
Educational elements are intertwined in our meetings to help youth develop a shared language, and to increase mental health awareness. Activities we provide include Art & Music, Karaoke, Queer Library Access, Mental Health Awareness, Coping Skills, Boundaries & Consent, Healthy Relationships, Health related discussions, first responder and community partner education and introductions, and more.
