Freshly minted Drs. Young, Carmichael-Murphy, and Mathies after defending their doctoral Capstone, 2016.
ColorBold is a new podcast project from the trio of educators who brought you ColorBraveJCPS. This posse of social justice educators met during their doctoral program at the University of Louisville in 2013. They quickly bonded over their shared academic interests in race and gender issues in education, community praxis, and emancipatory pedagogies. Since then they have collaborated to further their ultimate goal of advancing equity, accessibility, and inclusivity for historically marginalized populations in urban public education. Together they have facilitated multiple book studies, workshops, teacher training, coaching sessions, and panel discussions for educators, students, and community members across Jefferson County.
