Executive Branch

The President of the Republic of Colorado and the Cabinet of the Government of Colorado together form the executive branch of the Republic of Colorado. As defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Colorado, the Executive Branch is tasked with the management of policies and the execution and enforcement of legislation passed by the General Assembly.

General Assembly

The legislative branch of the Republic of Colorado, otherwise known as the General Assembly, is composed of no less than 5 members and no more than 9 members. The General Assembly is tasked with the drafting, discourse, passage, and amending of legislation.

Judicial Branch

The Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court together form the judicial branch of the Republic of Colorado. The Constitutional Court is tasked with determining the constitutionality of legislation passed by the General Assembly, the constitutionality of policies enacted by the executibe branch, and appeals from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court, on the other hand, is tasked with the handling of civil and criminal cases.
