Royals overpower Cutthroats
Coming off of their first win, the Cutthroats went up against the undefeated and perennial powerhouse Royals. Zach Scott took the mound for the Cutthroats and we hit early. The Royals managed to score three runs in the second inning to pretty much ice the game.
On the offensive side, the Cutthroats only managed to score two runs off of six hits. Mark Link had the big hit of the day, a double that brought in the only two runs. At that point in the game, the score was 5-2. The Royals would go on to score three more runs before the contest was officially decided.
There were 27 strikeouts between the two teams.
