Some days you're the bug and some days you're the windshield. A nightmarish 4th inning spelled doom for the Cutthroats against Zombies. The Zombies scored 12 times in the frame, hammered out 7 hits, and were aided by 4 walks and 2 Cutthroats errors. The Cutthroats had the lead 2-1 going into the bottom of the 4th before the Zombies blew the game open and the Cutthroats were unable to rebound.
Ken Reichelt started the game for the Cutthroats, fanned 3 and allowed only 1 run in his first 3 innings of work, but could not record more than 1 out in the 4th. After the 4th, the Zombies managed only 1 more run, but it was enough to put the game to rest via the mercy rule.
The Cutthroats take on Loc Nar in their next game, Sunday June 17th, at 12:30 at Heritage High School.
