The Cutthroats made their postseason debut on Sunday. After a shaky ending to the regular season, the Cutthroats slipped into the fourth seed in the American League. The Cutthroats took on the #1 Dirtbags. During the regular season, the two teams split in their head-to-head match-ups.

With the biggest game in franchise history, the 'Throats turned to Phil Powers to take the helm. Powers, who went (3-0) in the regular season, was not ready to give up his first loss. Powers pitched a complete game, giving up 3 earned runs on 5 hits.(6 BB, 8 SO)

The Cutthroats' offense was ready to produce; they scored 15 runs off of 16 hits. Joe Cordo picked up right where he left off, going 5 for 6 with 4 rbis. While the Cutthroats were building their lead, Jon Bielecki hit a solo home run to make it 5-0.

The Cutthroats poured it on in the later innings to make it 15-3. The win will advance the 'Throats to the American League Championship against the #2 Chill.
