The Snappers scored 10 runs in the first 5 innings before the Cutthroats were able to stave off the mercy rule by scoring 4 runs and shutting out the Snappers in the last 3 innings.
"Dog-gone-it," said 'Throats shortstop Kenneth Reichelt after the game, "we just didn't get enough dag nab hits strung together in the first few innings."
Jon Bielecki went the distance for the Cutthroats on the mound, giving up all 10 runs (7 ER) on 10 hits and 4 walks. Kellen Sorauf had a couple of hits, including a ringing double that scored the first Cutthroats run of the day. Greg Jaworowski and Shawn Fewell collected their first career hits, with Jaworowski swiping a bag and scoring his first run.
Gavin Sell was nearly ejected in the 8th as the outfield umpire was being a butthole and looking for someone to toss.
The Cutthroats next face the Zombies (0-2) on Sunday at 9AM.
