With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the Colorado Cutthroats came through in a must-win situation on Sunday against Loc Nar.
Mark Link threw a complete game 4-hitter and allowed only 1 run to Loc Nar who had scored over 40 runs combined against the Cutthroats in the teams' previous encounters. Link also chipped in at the plate, scoring a run, and knocking in a run. Dr. Kellen Sorauf and Josh Ortega each had a pair of hits and Jon Bielecki and Ken Reichelt each scored twice and had an RBI, Bielecki's coming on a lead-off home run in the 5th inning.
With the win and a Yetis loss, the Cutthroats now control their own destiny. Still a game and a half out of a playoff spot, they must win at least 3 of their final 5 games (1 vs. Harvesters, 3 vs. Yetis, 1 vs. Juice) to give themselves a chance at the 25A Wood post-season.
The Cutthroats' next game is Sunday, August 5th against the Harvesters (0-12)
