The Colorado Cutthroats fell to 0-2 to start the season after a 12-5 defeat at the hands of the Hitmen on an extremely windy day at Machbeuf High School field.
The Hitmen scored 9 of their runs in the first two innings and were outscored by the Cutthroats 6-3 after that. As in last week's game against Loc Nar, two unlucky innings were the Cutthroats' downfall.
After a rocky start, Cutthroats starting pitcher Mark Link shut down the Hitmen offense for four innings allowing only 2 baserunners in innings 3 through 6.
Offensively, Wes Sconce, Kenneth Reichelt, and Jon Bielecki led the way with a combined 8 hits, 5 runs, and 4 RBIs.
NEXT GAME: vs. Zombies (2-0), Sunday, April 21st, 9:00AM, Heritage High School.
