2012 All-Star Game

The Colorado Cutthroats played a big role in the NABA All-Star festivities on a windy Thursday night at Double Angel Ballpark.

At the Home Run Derby before the game, John LeDrew and Jon Bielecki hit 2 homers apiece to tie for the lead in the regular competition. In the 5-out tie-breaker, LeDrew cranked 3 towering shots over the left field wall to take home the first piece of hardware in Cutthroats history. With LeDrew's total of five, Bielecki's two, and Ken Reichelt's one, every representative from the team hit at least one homer at the derby.

The game itself, the Cutthroats played on the winning side (with the Juice and Denver Yetis), dominating the Zombies, Loc Nar, and Harvesters 21-7. All three Cutthroats representatives had hits and scored runs in the game and Reichelt locked down the middle infield positions on defense for the entirety. Bielecki pitched a scoreless 2nd and 3rd inning while LeDrew was on base 4 times and played a solid first base (yes, first base).

The Cutthroats take the field again on Sunday against the Harvesters at 12:30 and Green Mountain High School in Lakewood.
