What should I wear to tryouts?
The color specific shirt for your rising grade level. Rising 10th graders should wear white, rising 11th graders should wear green, and rising 12th graders should wear black.
2. What time should I arrive for check-in?
Athletes should plan to arrive to check-in 30 minutes to an hour before tryouts. This allows the process to run smoothly and the whole tryout time to be spent in evaluation. The more time in front of the coaches you get, the better.
3. Which days of tryouts should I attend?
Athletes should plan to attend all 3 days of tryouts. Cuts will be made each night. The callback list will be posted on both the Collins Hill Volleyball Instagram page and Collins Hill Volleyball Website.
4. When will I know if I made a team?
The final teams will be posted by Saturday 5/2/26 at noon.
5. If I am traveling this summer can I still tryout?
Yes. Summer practices are very important for team success but coaches can be flexible if given proper notice. If you make a team and already know you won't be available for the summer please let your coach know immediately.
6. I am interested in more than one fall sport. Is it possible to participate in two at once?
Unfortunately you must choose between volleyball, softball, and football cheer. All other sports schedules can work with volleyball.
7. How do my grades/attendance impact my ability to make the team?
Athletes should be in good academic standing to tryout for the Collins Hill Volleyball Teams. This means passing 5/6 classes and on track for graduation.
8. Can I bring my phone to tryouts?
No. Please do not bring anything into the gym except for a water bottle. No cell phones or apple watches should be brought into the gym.
