Act 1

A  child gets on the stage and shows a board with "Act 1" written on it and says: 

 "We are  in school together, but we have nothing to do, because all the teachers are in a meeting."

The child gets off the stage with the board and all the other kids  in the cast get on.

1. (All boys) It's hot. Let's go to the beach.

2. (All girls) Yes ! That is a good idea.

Then all the kids have a line to say, one after the other.  I numbered the lines for practical reasons, the numbers made it easier to sort out who should say what.

3. What things should we bring to the beach ?

4. We need a beach ball.

5. I've got a beach ball (holds up a big colourful ball).

6. And we need swimsuits.

7. No problem. I have the swimsuits (holds up a bunch of swimsuits).

8. And I have the towels (towels in the air).

9. But we need sun hats.

10. No worries, I have hats (waving hats).

11. Where is the bus ?

12. What bus ?

13. The bus that is going to take us to the beach !

14. We don't need a bus.

15. Why not ?

16. Because I just phoned my father and he can take us in his van.

17. Look, there is the van (pointing)

18. The van looks very nice.

19. Yes, let's get on the van.

20.(All children) Bye, bye everybody. We are going to the beach (waves to the parents).

The children get off the stage.

Act 2

The board student comes back with a board that reads "Act 2" and says: 

 "We are at the beach having fun together." 

The kid gets off the stage with the board and all the other children get back on.

1. Look, there is a banana boat(pointing).

2. Yes, let's go for a ride together

3. I worry I'll get a tan if I am out in the sun.

4. Never mind, let's have fun together.

5. (1 - 4 together) OK, let' go to the banana boat.  

The four boat kids leave the stage.

6. There is a lady selling funny hill tribe hats. (pointing)

7. No, I don't want one of those. I want something to eat.

8. That man, over there, sells fried chicken (pointing).

9. Here comes a man that sells barbecued prawns, we can have some prawns.

10. Yes, prawns are better, we'll buy some of those.

11. (6 - 10 together) Mmmmmmmmm, delicious (pretends to eat prawns).

The five prawn kids leave the stage.

12. I want to sleep (yawns).

13. It's no fun for me if you sleep all the time.

The sleepy kid lies down and pretends to sleep. No. 13 sits down next to him and looks bored.

14. It's very hot.

15. It's because you sit in the sun. Come over here instead.

16. Yes, sit over here, with us. We can play a game together.

17. What game should we play ?

18. There might not be time to play a game. We must go home soon.

19. Do we really have to go home ?

20. (14 - 19 together) Yes, we must all go home now. Bye, bye (waves to the audience)
