The January 2026 meeting of the Genealogy Association of Colleyville focused on the search for genealogical records on the three major genealogical sites; Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, and FamilySearch. David Nowotnik began with a presentation on search techniques used with MyHeritage, followed by Richard Welsh, who covered searching on Ancestry.com. In the third presentation, Christine Bullard described FamilySearch's new (experimental) AI Research Assistant, which accepts 'prompts', like a chatbot.
