Brent Colley is an historian in Redding, Connecticut. He grew up in Redding. His family settled in Redding in the 1800's. Redding is the setting for the historical novel, My Brother Sam Is Dead, which takes place during the American Revolution. It's fitting that Brent took an interest in the historical novel that has its setting in his hometown. Redding, along with other places in Connecticut, is rich in history of the American Revolution. It's noteworthy that the American Revolution began in 1775, just a few decades before Brent's family settled in Redding.
