4 of the most important things to pay attention to in high school 

Grades - They matter now.  Your GPA begins Day 1.  Students who do not earn a minimum of 5 credits at the end of the school year are academically ineligible for participation the first six (6) weeks of the next school year.

Attendance - you can pass a class and lose your credit if you miss too many days.  coaches want to know you're dependable on and off the field.

Performance - show up, show out.  Live by the mindset that someone is always watching you .

Social Media - can be used to reach coaches and can also be used to decide if you're worth a coaches time

They have to be HONEST with recruiters about student-athletes - including grades, stats, work ethic, and character. 

College coaches want great student-athletes who will represent their team and institution in a positive manner every day.  To identify those players, the coaches need to get to know you and make sure you’re a fit for their program.  Handing out a college scholarship is a huge responsibility and college coaches take it very seriously. 

Most of the time, your history as a teammate and player is an indication of how you will act in college. Your character is part of a college coach’s evaluation process.  Consistency in your behavior and work ethic can go a long way in promoting you to college coaches.
