Jitka Čejková | Associate Professor | University of Chemistry and Technology Prague
Jitka is an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Chemical Robotics at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, where she also studied chemical engineering and successfully defended her doctoral degree. Her primary interests include the investigation of organic droplets with life-like behavior and recently she proposed to call such droplets "liquid robots”. She is the general chair of ALIFE 2021 Conference on Artificial Life.

Jan has a background in machine learning and artificial intelligence (Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Nottingham) and 10+ years of experience in R&D that spans across academia, industry, and continents. He was previously Chief Scientist and CTO of a quantitative investment management firm, and a Senior Research Engineer at Samsung Research. He is one of the organizing team of the Badger seminars.
