The Research Archives provides access to the photograph collection and our special collections, the region’s largest collection of historical materials, covering hundreds of years of San Diego history.

The San Diego History Center is happy to welcome back researchers to our Special Collections!
We are now offering one-on-one research appointments with a member of the collections staff. Each appointment is $90 per hour ($75 per hour for SDHC members), with a minimum appointment time of one (1) hour and a maximum appointment time of four (4) hours.
Please identify the resources you would like to use before coming to the History Center. We recommend you search the following resources to identify the materials you want before arriving for your appointment:

Payment is required via Paypal invoice before an appointment is scheduled. Appointment times may vary depending on collections staff schedules. Please allow up to four weeks for appointment.
