Q: What is CollateralBuddy?

A:  CollateralBuddy is an AI-powered collateral management and content generation platform specifically optimized for the life sciences and biotech industries.

Q: Why doesn’t CollateralBuddy support market sizing or financial analysis? 

A: Accuracy is our priority. Most recent financial and segmentation data is stored in proprietary reports that AI cannot access. Relying on outdated public data can lead to high hallucination rates. We have chosen to omit these features until AI can reliably process this quantitative data without error.

Q: Can I create manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications? 

A: Version 1.0 (releasing in March 2026) does not support manuscript creation. This feature is currently in development for Version 2.0 (releasing in July 2026).

Q: Can I use custom prompts or generate images? 

A: These features are part of our upcoming Version 2.0. Current speed limitations in image-generation engines led us to prioritize text accuracy for our initial launch.

Q: Is CollateralBuddy limited to the life sciences? 

A: While primarily optimized for life sciences, you can use it for other industries. However, because industry-specific nomenclature varies, we recommend a more careful manual review of the output.

Q: How do you prevent AI "hallucinations"? 

A: CollateralBuddy prevents AI hallucinations by using a multi-layered verification strategy that includes strict prompting, the CoVe protocol, and source-file cross-referencing. Our specific methods include:

• Strict Prompting: Our detailed prompts limit the AI's scope.

• CoVe Protocol: We use the Chain-of-Verification protocol to identify and highlight potential errors.

• Verification: Any information not found in your source files is flagged for your review.

Q: Which AI engines power the software? 

A: CollateralBuddy uses Gemini as the default engine. However, it is fully compatible and can be integrated with ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.

Q: What are the hardware requirements? 

A: Any standard PC, Mac, or laptop with a stable internet connection will work. You can even run the full collateral creation process on a mobile phone.

Security & Integration

Q: How is my data protected? 

A: We ensure total data isolation. Every organization or user receives their own dedicated instance/machine on our server. Only you have access to your uploaded source files and generated content.

Q: Can this be installed on our company servers? 

A: Yes. Our team will collaborate with your IT department to install CollateralBuddy on your company’s cloud server or link it to your internal AI instances.

Q: Does it integrate with my Content Management System (CMS)? 

A: Yes, we offer CMS integration as an additional service. Pricing depends on the complexity and type of your existing system.

Support & Pricing

Q: What kind of support and training do you offer? 

A: The platform is designed to be intuitive, but we provide free training for all new users. Human support is available via phone and online from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM PST.

Q: How much does a subscription cost? 

A: Pricing is based on the number of users and your preferred hosting/AI model. Please contact us for a tailored quote.

Onboarding & Operations

Q: What file types can I upload as source documents? 

A: CollateralBuddy supports most standard professional formats, including PDF, DOCX, and PPTX. This allows you to easily upload existing white papers, clinical trial summaries, or product decks for analysis.

Q: In what formats are the final marketing materials delivered? 

A: Once generated, your collateral can be downloaded as fully editable Word documents (.docx) or high-resolution PDFs. This ensures you can make final manual tweaks or send them directly to your design team.

Q: Does CollateralBuddy support languages other than English? 

A: CollateralBuddy 1.0 only supports English at the moment. This is because we are currently unable to verify the generated collateral in other languages. The underlying Gemini engine can process and generate content in over 40 languages. 

Q: How long does the initial setup take? 

A: For standard accounts, setup is near-instant. For enterprise clients requiring dedicated instances or server isolation, our team typically completes the configuration and IT handover within 3 to 5 business days.
